Understanding the lifecycle of a trading strategy deployment.
Primary knowledge hub
Primary knowledge hub for platform usage and feature reference.
When you create a new strategy, it starts in Draft state. In this state, you configure the strategy, trading pair, capital allocation, and risk parameters. No real trades are executed. You can modify any setting freely before deployment.
Once deployed, a strategy enters Active state and begins executing trades. The strategy monitors market conditions and places orders according to strategy logic. You can monitor real-time P&L, trade history, and performance metrics from the Dashboard.
You can pause any active strategy at any time. A paused strategy stops placing new orders but existing open positions remain until manually closed or the strategy is resumed. Pausing is useful during high-volatility events or when adjusting strategy parameters.
Stopping a strategy permanently halts it and preserves its full history for review. All trade logs, performance metrics, and configuration snapshots are retained. Stopped strategies cannot be restarted, but their parameters can be referenced to create new deployments. A dedicated archive state is planned for a future release.
